Heart of Hoodie

Long before the murder of Trayvon Martin and still today, the hoodie has been a site of trauma, fear, and persecution. The mere act of wearing a hoodie has come to symbolize the systematic dehumanization of the Black community, especially young Black men. My line, Heart of Hoodie seeks to reclaim the hoodie as a source of warmth, comfort, strength, resilience, and most Importantly, Love.
